Hi, this recipe is not original at all. This is well-known in Maharashtra and is made at every home and also sold outside. This is Sabudana Khichadi that is most commonly made for fasts in Maharashtra.

hi,i want u to try my recipe with saboodana for a change!soak chana dal till it is soft and properly soaked.drain & grind it roughly.keep it aside.soak saboodana as you have suggested in your recipe and make it ready to be used for the preparation.make tadka using rai.jeera, hing,pyaaz,kadipatta, red or green chillies(your preference),haldi.chilipowder,amchur or limejuice(a bit).add grinded chanadal,mix and let it cook a bit by keeping it covered on slow flame.you will know when it is cooked!now add the saboodana& salt,mix,cover and cook for some time.garnish with grated coconut and chopped coriander and serve hot with one of your sweet mango pickle(i like it eaten this way) ....HAPPY COOKING...awaiting your reply!
