Ingredients for Sooji ki Kheer
- Milk - 500 gms. (21/2 cup)
- Sooji - 50 gms. (1/4 cup)
- Sugar - 40 gms. (2 table spoon)
- Ghee - 1 table spoon.
- Cashews - 10-12 (cut each cashews into 6-7 pieces)
- Raisins - 20 (separate the stems)
- Pistachios - 10-12 (chopped)
- Cardamom - 4 (peel and grind)
Method - How to make Sooji ki Kheer
Pour milk in a pan and keep it on a stove to boil.
Take another pan and heat ghee in it. Put a bowl of soji into it ad roast until it turns brown.
Lower down the flame once the milk starts to boil. Mix sugar and sooji into the milk and stir well. Stir the kheer continuously so that Sooji should not form lumps into the milk. The consistency of the milk will become thick. Keep on stirring the kheer so that it doesn't stick at the bottom of the pan. Once the kheer becomes thick put all the chopped dry fruits (raisins, cashews and pistachios) into it and mix well.
Sooji Kheer is ready. Garnish it with chopped pistachios and serve hot to your family members.

How to make Sooji Kheer for Kids
Take 100 gms sooji and roast in 2 table spoon ghee till it turns brown. Store the roasted sooji in an air-tight container.
Heat 1/2 cup or 100 gms milk in a pan and add 1 table spoon sooji into it along with sugar (1 tea spoon) according to the taste. Cook the kheer on low flame for 3-4 minutes till the sooji becomes tender in the milk. Sooji kheer for a small baby is ready. Let is cool down for a while and then feed your kid.
