Crispy Potato Bites Recipe

Today we are going to make a special starter for your parties, Potato Nuggets. You can serve them as starters as well as snacks. It is very easy to make them and they are ready in a jiffy. They are very tasty, so much so that the potato nuggets will be finished but the desire to eat them will not stop. So you too make potato nuggets with this easy recipe and enjoy its taste with your family.
Ingredients for Potato Bites
Boiled Potato - 5 (300 g)
Rice Flour - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Red Chilli - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves
Oil - 2 tsp
Oil for frying
Process of making the Dough
In a bowl, grate 5 boiled potatoes with a fine grater. Now in the same bowl put ½ cup of rice flour, 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of red chilli, ½ tsp of cumin and some green coriander. Knead the dough by mixing them well.
After kneading, add 2 tsp of oil to it, mash it well and make it smooth. Then cover it and keep it for 5 minutes.
Process of assembling Potato Nuggets
Spread some oil on the board, then keep the dough on the board and divide it into 2 parts. Putting one portion back in the bowl, enlarge the remaining portion by rolling it with oil in your hand. Then cut 1-1 cm pieces of it with a knife.
Now press a piece lightly by making it round and press lightly with the palm. Make marks from all around it with the help of a forked spoon. Similarly, make designs on all the pieces and keep them on the tray. Similarly make pieces of the other part as well and make the design.
Process of frying Potato Nuggets
Heat oil in a pan, it should be medium-high hot and the flame should be medium-high. Put as many nuggets as you can in hot oil and let it fry for 1-2 minutes. Then reduce the flame and fry them from both the sides till they turn golden brown.
Then take them out and prepare the rest by frying them in the same way. In this way, potato nuggets will be ready. Serve them with your favourite dip and enjoy their taste.
Suggestions
After putting the potato nuggets in, do not use a ladle for 2-3 minutes. Then fry them by turning them till they become golden brown and take them out.
