Non Sticky Sabudana Khichdi Recipe

Eating sago during breakfast or dinner has a lot of benefits on health. Keeping this in mind, today we are going to make Sabudana Khichdi. It is very easy to make and it is ready in a jiffy. It is not only beneficial for health, but it is also very tasty to eat. So whenever you want to eat something spicy and light, then make Sabudana Khichdi and enjoy its taste with your family.
Ingredients for Sabudana Khichdi
Sago - 1 cup, soaked
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Boiled Potato - 1, chopped
Peanut - 1/4 cup, Roasted
Curry Leaves - 10-12
Green Chilli - 2, finely chopped
Roasted Peanut - 1/4 cup, coarsely ground
Rock Salt - 3/4 tsp
Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp, coarsely ground
Coriander Leaves
Lemon - 1
Process of making Sabudana Khichdi
Wash and soak 1 cup of sago in water for 2.5-3 hours. When it gets wet, remove the water completely. Now put 2 tbsp of ghee in the pan and heat it. Put 1 tsp of cumin seeds in hot ghee and saute a bit. Then add 1 boiled potato, cut into small pieces, and fry them for 2 minutes.
After roasting, add ¼ cup of roasted peanuts and fry it lightly. Then put 10-12 curry leaves in it and let it crackle. Now add 2 finely chopped green chilies and fry them lightly. When roasted, add soaked sabudana and ¼ cup of coarsely ground peanut powder and mix well.
After mixing, add ¾ tsp of rock salt and ½ tsp of coarsely ground black pepper. Cook it on medium flame while stirring continuously till its colour becomes transparent. After the colour of sago is changed, reduce the flame to very low and cook it covered for 2 minutes.
After the time is up, cook it again for 2 minutes while stirring continuously. Then add green coriander and mix it. Finally, add the juice of 1 lemon to it and mix it well. Then turn off the flame and serve it and enjoy its taste.
Suggestions
Soak 1 cup of sago in ¾ cup of water.
