Green Moong Laddu With Jaggery | Hari Moong Laddu Recipe

 

Protein, fiber, iron-rich green moong ladoos will make you fall in love with their deliciousness. Moong dal ladoos are especially beneficial during the winter season. Make sure to prepare enough for your loved ones.

Ingredients Required for Green Moong Laddu

Green Grams - 1 Cup (200 grams)
Jaggery - 160 gms
Desi Ghee - 4-5 tbsp
Almond Flakes - 1/4 Cup
Cashew - 8-10, chopped
Cardamom - 4, coarsely ground

Green Moong Laddu Recipe

Dry roast 1 cup of moong dal (green grams) over medium heat. Once the color of the dal changes, take it out on a plate and allow it to cool down.

Meanwhile, we will prepare jaggery syrup. Take less than a cup of jaggery and dashed to pieces. Add jaggery and 2 tbsp water to the Kadai. Over low heat wait for jaggery to dissolve and ensure stirring at intervals.

Turn off the flame once the jaggery dissolves and you can see foams in the syrup. Grind the lentils like flour once cool enough.

Add 2 tbsp of ghee to a pan and roast the ground lentil over low heat. Do not over roast the flour as we have roasted the dal previously. Add 2 more tbsp of ghee to the mixture if it appears dry.

After 2 minutes of roasting, add 8-10 chopped cashews, 1/4 cup of almond flakes, and roast the mixture for 2 more minutes with dry fruits.

Suggestion: You can add ground dry fruits to the mixture if preparing for kids and the elderly.

Add 4 crushed cardamom to enhance the ladoo flavor. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and mix jaggery syrup in it.

Wash your hands and apply a little oil to them before preparing ladoos. Take out a little mixture and bind it well like a ladoo. Similarly, prepare all the ladoos of the size you please.

Make sure to bind ladoos when the mixture is warm because after cooling it would be hard to bind ladoos.

Like this, you will prepare delicious green moong ladoos. Store it in any container and enjoy it for a month.
