Sugar - 1 cup (200 grams)
Ghee - 1 to 2 tsp
Almond Chikki Recipe
Take 200 grams of almonds and cut them lengthways into halves. Dry roast the almonds over medium flame for 2 minutes or till fragrant.
Alternative: You can also take almond flakes or whole almonds.
Grease a board and rolling pin beforehand and add 1 tsp of ghee to the Kadai.
Pour 200 grams of sugar into the Kadai and melt over the medium flame while stirring constantly.
Make sure as soon as the sugar dissolves, mix almonds in the syrup. Turn the heat low and mix everything properly.
Transfer the mixture to the greased board and spread it evenly before it turns hard. Grease a bowl with ghee from below and press the mixture with it.
Roll the mixture into a thin sheet using the greased rolling pin. Keep the chikki aside for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, mark cuts in the mixture and leave it for 5-10 minutes to set.
After 10 minutes, chikki is all set and ready. Separate and transfer the chikki pieces to the serving plate.
Badam chikki is ready to be served. Enjoy crunchy and tasty almond chikkis with a cup of tea or coffee.
