Ingredients for Fried Green Chilly Recipe
- Green chilies – 100 grams
- Turmeric powder – less than ¼ tsp
- Asafoetida – 1-2 pinches
- Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tsp
- Fennel powder – 1tsp
- Dry mango powder – ½ tsp
- Salt – ¾ tsp or to taste
How to make Hari Mirch Fry
Remove stalk from green chilies and rinse them well. Let them dry well and then chop down into small chunks. Slit few chilies into to parts lengthwise.
Heat some oil in a pan and splutter cumin seeds first. When the seeds crackle, add turmeric powder, asafoetida, chopped green chilies, salt, fennel powder, coriander powder and mango powder. Mix everything really well and keep the flame low. Cover and cook the chilies for 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove the lid and check the green chilies. Green chili fry is now ready, turn off the flame and transfer it to another bowl. Serve this tangy-spicy green chili fry as side dish in your meals and relish its flavorful taste.
Suggestion
- Instead of knife, it is more convenient to use scissors.
