Jeera potato prepared with boiled potatoes and few spices taste are very palatable and yummy. Perfect for tiffin, this stir fried can be served along chapatti, paranthas, naan or poori.

Ingredients for Jeera Aloo Recipe
- Potatoes - 400 grams (boiled and peeled)
- Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
- Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Dry mango powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Ginger baton - 1 inch (grated)
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Garam masala - less than 1/4 tsp
- Salt - 1 tsp or to taste
- Green chilly - 2 (slit lengthwise)
- Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida - 1 to 2 pinch
How to make Stir Fry Boiled Aloo with Zeera
Heat a pan for preparing jeera aloo. Meanwhile cut the potatoes. For this, take a potato and divide it into four parts. Here potatoes used are small-medium in size, so cut them in four parts. Bigger potatoes can be diced into more chunks.
When the pan is sufficiently hot, add 2 tbsp oil in to it. When the oil is heated well, splutter cumin seeds and asafoetida first. Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, green chilly, ginger, dry fenugreek leaves, red chilly powder and potatoes. Keep stirring constantly to prevent spices from browning.
After this add salt, garam masala and mango powder and stir to mix everything really well. Stir and roast the sabzi for 3 to 4 minutes.
Jeera aloo is ready, mix some green coriander into it and turn off the flame. Serve these stir fried jeera aloo with steaming hot chapatti, naan or parantha or pack them in tiffin.
