How to make Raw Tomato Chutney
Place a wire net over the flame and place the tomatoes over it. Roast until the upper surface turns black in color. Keep flipping the sides of tomatoes while roasting so that they are roasted from inside as well. Once they are roasted completely, allow them to cool and then peel off the skin.
Place roasted peanuts, grated coconut, green chilly, ginger, green coriander, salt and 1/4 cup water in a mixture jar and ground.
After grinding it coarsely, add roasted-chopped tomatoes into it and churn again. Take out the chutney in a bowl.
Place 2 tsp oil in a small pan and heat it. When oil is sufficiently hot, add red mustard seeds and urad dal. Saute until mustard crackles and dal turns slightly brown in color.
Add curry leaves and whole red chilly in to it and then turn off the flame. Add red chilly powder in the tadka and pour it over the chutney. Mix really well.
Green tomato chutney is ready. Serve with idli, dosa, parantha or any other hings and relish eating.
